Analysis

The analysis stage of the business intelligence (BI) system development provides the first level of benefit once the data warehouse is deployed. Through the use of powerful Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) tools we create a multidimensional database that runs in parallel with the data warehouse. Analysis Services is an evolved OLAP tool that comes for no extra charge with SQL Server 2000/2005 in comparison to competing tools requiring a signficant investment for similar functionality. Moreover, Analysis Services can be used with non-Microsoft relational databases, or a combination of databases from different vendors.
