Business Intelligence Consulting
Today, managing
information is more challenging than ever. Technology changes daily, as
well as requirements of your business. Whether it’s reducing costs,
consolidating your data environment, improving the quality of your data,
generating more meaningful reports, or using your data to make decisions
faster, there’s never a shortage of problems that SMB organizations are
trying to solve. But where do you begin? How do your business drivers
translate into manageable and executable business intelligence project?
AMULET’S Business Intelligence (BI) practice can help. We start by
understanding your business objectives. Next we look at mapping your
business objectives to your BI initiative. The bottom line is if the
solution doesn’t map to your objectives, then the BI implementation may
not show success. We develop a scope and approach for BI for your organization,
and then help you build an executable roadmap for the most scalable and
most cost-effective BI solution implementation. Having supported SMB
clients for over 10 years, we understand your budget challenges. That's
why we’ve developed a total BI solution that delivers at a cost that
you’ll like. We can also implement what we recommend or support your
team with the implementation. Once the implementation is complete, we
can provide on-going post project support.
The AMULET BI Solution
Framework consulting includes the following phases:
Phase One: Envision
In the first phase, we’ll conduct a review of your organization’s
current data infrastructure and business objectives to determine how
a BI solution may best capitalize on your data assets.
Phase Two: Plan
In this phase, we design a custom-fit BI solution and map it to the business
objectives.
Phase Three: Develop
In this phase, we provide the roadmap for an optimally suited BI solution
and with each component configured for your organization. We'll plan out
various environments: development, staging/QA, and production. We also
address security in this phase.
Phase Four: Stabilize
Here, we outline the needed preparation for going live by confirming the
operation of each system component and validation by test suites.
Phase Five: Deploy
In this phase we lay out an implementation strategy using a modular
approach. We’ll address the following areas:
- Support – for staff-skills development (training), operational support
- Maintenance and performance – for ongoing maintenance and assurance
that you can perform and meet the requirements of your service-level
agreements
- Hardware and network recommendations – for initial and future
deployment
- Pricing – we recommend a pricing model that helps make a BI system
attainable
Deliverables:
Once we have completed the architectural and implementation framework
research, we will provide a series of documents designed to prepare your
organization to successfully implement your BI solution:
- Installation and configuration plan
- Security strategy documentation
- Application development guidelines – based on the framework analysis
and on best practices methodologies
- Education and staff training schedule – outlining applicable
Microsoft education classes and external training
