Los Angeles, Calif. -- AMULET Development Corp. is pleased to announce its selection by G. Hedgecock, Inc. for custom database software development services in building a multi-user software application in support of the company’s construction and paving business in Modesto, Calif. GHI contracted with AMULET to build a construction management and accounting software application where company staff members may enter and track employee time card data, and equipment usage records for various construction projects. The software will include custom database design, data entry forms, database queries, and management reports designed to streamline and improve the efficiency of the time keeping and equipment tracking process. The new database application will be designed to save staff resources while increasing efficiency and accuracy for this important functional area within the company.

GHI is a leading Northern California services firm with a long history in the paving construction industry. The company has noted customers such as E.&J. Gallo Winery, and has experienced significant growth in the past several years.

AMULET’S Development Services

AMULET plans to automate the time card management and accounting process by developing a software application using the Microsoft Access 2002 relational database management software which is part of the Microsoft Office XP application suite. The multi-user application shall accommodate a growing user base in the company’s front office, and will run on the GHI Windows 2000 Server local-area-network. Due to the custom nature of the software, a considerable amount of Visual Basic programming code is needed in support of the application requirements. Previously, manual methods and legacy software systems were used to support the accounting process at GHI.
