Reporting
Every user of a business intelligence (BI) system will access a variety of
BI applications and standard reports. The vast majority of them, typically
as high as 70%, will use only standard reports. To those users, the standard
reports are the BI system.
A fundamental ingrediant of AMULET's BI solution set is enterprise reporting. The
basic business requirements for reporting include: creating, finding, viewing,
and changing reports. The primary data source for enterprise reports is the
data warehouse, or even OLAP cubes. You need a solid, reliable reporting system
foundation to support these requirements. AMULET uses the Microsoft SQL Server
Reporting Services architecture for this critical end-user component.
